Cabo de Gata is the longest virgin coastline in all the Southern European Mediterranean; close to our property there is a great number of beaches and coves surrounded by nature; the nearest are Agua Amarga, la Playa de los Muertos, Cala el Plomo and Cala Enmedio. Cala Enmedio is only accessible by foot, the path is marked, it is one hour away from our estate and it takes you through beautiful lonely, mountain landscape. It is also possible to walk there from the village of Agua Amarga and it takes half an hour. Also, don’t miss out Cala San Pedro in the village of Las Negras, the beaches of Rodalquilar, Monsul or Los Genoveses in San José.

In addition, there are places of special attraction on the outskirts of the Natural Park: Níjar -famous for its ceramics and crafts, Mojácar – known for its traditional hippy beach, Garrucha – where you can eat excellent fish, the Natural Park of Tabernas - where many “spaghetti westerns” were filmed, the Karst Caves in Sorbas and, finally, the village of Lucainena.

In the heart of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata there is the Cortijo del Fraile, in this traditional rural dwelling took place the dramatic events that later inspired “Bodas de sangre”, Federico Garcia Lorca’s renowned play.
